Honorable Regent Johnson represented the 9th Judicial District on the Board of Regents in the greater New York areas. Her mission was to provided students with equal opportunities and
equity as they pursue their education.
This webpage serves as a memorial to Regent Dr. Judith Johnson as we strive to continue her legacy to help others as they pursue careers, higher-education, or business start-ups. The money that will be raised here will support young people as they pursue their dreams. Her legacy lives on in multiple school districts and in policies across the state and nation. Achievements
Honorable Regent Dr. Judith Ann Johnson was the 1st African American woman superintendent in Peekskill, NY. In 1999, Judith served on Bill Clinton Administration in the Department of Education as Deputy (acting) Assistant Secretary of Education. In 2008, named Superintendent of the Year in New York State. She was also the 9th Judicial District on State Board of Regents (2015-2019). Also, served as a Administrator in Mamaroneck, S. Westchester BOCES in Nyack, NY as well as White Plains, NY. Later, Judith was enshrined in the Brooklyn College's Hall of Fame. Where she attended.
